If 2016 was the year of break-ups, this year definitely goes to babies! And what makes it even more special is the ladies who have flaunted their baby bump with utmost style and swag. Right from the beginning of the year – when Karan Johar announced the birth of his twins to Bollywood actresses Soha Ali Khan, Asin & Esha Deol turning mommies – Btown has welcomed many babies in 2017.
Here’s a recap:
1. Karan Johar
In what was perhaps the most delightful surprise this year, Karan became a father to twins – a boy and a girl – through surrogacy. He named his children Yash and Roohi (a re-arrangement of his mom Hiroo’s name). Karan had expressed his desire to become a parent for years and most recently, in his book The Unsuitable Boy.
2. Esha Deol & Bharat Takhtani
Esha and Bharat welcomed their baby girl, Radhya on October 20 at the Hinduja hospital. A couple of months ago, the actress celebrated her baby shower with her family in a traditional ceremony by taking three pheras as per the Sindhi rituals. Her sister Ahana Deol also threw a surprise baby shower for her, making pregnancy a journey worth remembering.
3. Celina Jaitley & Peter Haag
Celina recently embraced motherhood for the second time and welcomed her second set of twin boys – Arthur & Shamsher. Unfortunately, Shamsher couldn’t survive due to a heart condition. She is already a mother to 5-year old twins, Winston & Viraaj.
4. Soha Ali Khan & Kunal Kemmu
Bollywood couple Soha & Kunal were blessed with a baby girl, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu on September 29th. Throughout her pregnancy, Soha was working on her book The Perils of Being Moderately Famous, which she wanted to finish before the baby’s arrival.
5. Lisa Haydon & Dino Lalwani
Lisa slayed during her pregnancy and her photoshoot where she flaunted her baby bump in style. She gave birth to Zack Lalwani on the 17th of May in London.
6. Nisha Rawal & Karan Mehra
Karan & Nisha became parents to little Kavish in June this year. His mommy keeps us virtually updated about his life though his personal Instagram account – check it out here.
7. Urvashi Sharma & Sachin Joshi
Actress Urvashi Sharma (who now goes by the name Raina Joshi) and her husband Sachin Joshi were blessed with a baby boy on November 26. They have named their little boy Shivansh. They also have a 4-year old daughter, Samaira.
8. Asin & Rahul Sharma
Asin and Rahul got married last year in January in a stunning ceremony and were blessed with a baby girl around Diwali this year. The news comes as a surprise as Asin kept her pregnancy extremely private and even went on a social media hiatus

Fardeen & Natasha welcomed their second child, a boy, on 11th August, 2017. They named him Azarius Fardeen Khan.
10. Adnan Sami & Roya Sami Khan

Roya and Adnan welcomed their baby girl, Medina on May 10, 2017. They couple has been married for nearly 7 years now.
11. Prianka & Rannvijay Singha
Rannvijay and Prianka welcomed their adorable baby girl, Kainaat Singha earlier this year on January 16. The doting father often posts sweet photos of his baby Kai on his Instagram. Don’t forget to check out her personal IG account here.
