The last leg of the big fat Virushka wedding came to a glorious end with the couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli hosting their Mumbai reception last night. While Virat looked uber handsome wearing head-to-toe Raghavendra Rathore, Anushka looked beyond gorgeous in a Sabyasachi Mukherjee lehenga. Her ensemble was custom made and no stone was left unturned to create this magical ensemble for her on her special day. Sabyasachi Mukherjee described in detail how her look came to life:
Anushka wanted to wear old world glamour. And we decided to ‘Jazz’ it up in smoky grey. Hand beaten silver thread, textured sequins and cut organza flowers were assembled on an embroidered tulle base to create an ethereal lehenga. Award-winning master craftsmen from Lucknow rendered her stunning dupatta which was clinched on the waist with our ‘Bengal tiger’ belt.
When it came to her jewellery she donned one from his collection—Sabyasachi fine jewellery. A stellar necklace and earrings that were handcrafted with rose cut diamonds, solitaires and briolettes complemented her look.
Her hair and makeup built her bridal beauty to next level. Celebrity makeup artist Subbu gave her a side smokey eye with gold eyeshadow, gorgeous dewy skin with coral blushed cheeks and matching matte lips. Celebrity hairstylist Georgiou Gabriel kept her hair open with flowing waves. Clearly, the duo brought their A-game and made Anushka’s beauty 10 folds.
