Here’s What Virat Kohli Said About Getting Back To Work After The Wedding Celebrations

Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma

Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma‘s secret wedding ceremony in Tuscany was undeniably the best news this month (and year). Everything was simply stunning and we are still reeling from the gorgeous pictures and the two royal wedding receptions that followed this beautiful union. The newly weds also went for a short honeymoon before they landed in Delhi for the first reception.

Now that the wedding festivities are over, the power couple is back to work. They left for South Africa early morning today, where Team India is playing against the Proteas. After ringing in the New Year together, Anushka will fly back to India in the first week of January to resume shooting for Aanand L Rai‘s next with Shah Rukh Khan.

We know that getting back to routine after a big fat Indian wedding is tough (it’s like Mondays X 100). But not for the captain of the Indian Cricket team. Before leaving for the test series, Virat was asked at a press conference how difficult it was for him to get back to work after the celebrations.

He said:

Not difficult at all, I was away for something which is much more important. That is a period that will always remain special for both of us. Switching back to cricket is not difficult at all because it is in my blood, like it is for every other team member and the team management as well, so getting back to professional front is not difficult at all. I haven’t done anything in the past three weeks. I have been training to get back to play in South Africa. Somewhere in your head you are always thinking about you have something important coming up, so subconsciously you are looking forward to it (South Africa tour). So, mentally I am very well prepared.

Very very very impressed with Virat’s answer, aren’t you?!
