Launched on 19 December 1954 and produced in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Old Monk has been the biggest Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) brand for many years. It’s one of the rare brands that has never been advertised, the immense popularity of the dark rum has always been word-of-mouth. For Indians (who consume alcohol, and there are many of those), Old Monk is much more than just a drink, it’s a feeling. Our condolences to Mr. Mohan’s family, his creation has helped many people make a lot of memories.
