1. Fan of the talkies?

New theater alert! There’s a new theater in Bandra (W) that’s a cross between a regular cinema and a cheesy French café. The interiors of Le Rêve have a clear romantic and classical theme. They also have different popcorn toppings like sour cream and Mexican cheese that you can add yourself depending on how much you’d want.

Cost: ₹200 per ticket approx.

2. Watch a play

Fan of the theater? Go watch a play! Watching a play is always so intriguing and there are such interesting plays out there to choose from. The talk of the town nowadays is the one adapted from Ayn Rand’s- Night Of January 16th. This one is called The Woman On Trial. Directed by the amazing Laura Mishra featuring talents like Abhishek Chakraborty, Mustafa Lightwalla, Arpita Banerjee and even Laura herself. Tickets will be available from 20th January onwards on BookMyShow.

3. Attend a tasting

There are so many opportunities to learn something new every day in the city. One such event is being held at The Brook Bond Taj Mahal Tea House, Bandra (W). Learn about tea from the famous tea sommelier Sandeep Mathur. Head for this tea tasting on 27th January.

4. Catch up for coffee

And then there is always coffee! Catch up with a friend for coffee and conversation! This could happen at any cafe!
If you’d want to be by yourself, you could head to Di Bella, in Bandra (W) that is located inside a bookstore called Title Waves. You could also spend some quality alone-time reading a book, while sipping on a hot cup of joe.

Attend a fun stand-up gig. There are tonnes of different open mic/stand-up events you could go to. You might also find and help promote new talent this way. One to look forward to this week is the Comedy Ladder Presents 111 COME where Karunesh Talwar promotes 12 first-timers to showcase their talent on his platform at Studio Mojo, Malad.
