11 Off-The-Hook Themes For The Next Bachelorette Party You’re Planning

Atmaj Vyas

It seems like every time we open Facebook, someone is getting married. While a lot of our friends are taking a metaphorical plunge, it sometimes feels like an ‘end of an era’. These special people deserve to be sent out with a bang and we can’t think of a better way than a crazy, whacky-themed bachelorette party. Since we aren’t a boring lot of people, let’s skip the run-of-the-mill party ideas and look at some bizarre ideas instead.

1. Glow Party

Filled with black light and neon, this theme can quickly go from interesting to really insane. From custom tattoos and neon paint wars, you can decide the degree of crazy you want to take this one to. If you’re a little more OCD and want to add some customisation, you could  even add a special cocktail list.

2. Sex And The City Theme

This one takes role-playing to the next level! Dress up and pretend you’re  in the hit sitcom, Sex And The City. Choose who you’re going to dress up as according to who you relate to. And yes, there can be multiple Carrie Bradshaws (just this once). Put on the best clothes you’ve got, go shopping, gossip and make sure you guzzle down some Cosmopolitans for good measure.

3. Jungle Fever

Channel your inner wild child and let loose! This wild theme lets you dress up as your spirit animal and paint the town red. Animal prints, custom-made cocktails and maybe even an exotic location. It’s sure to be one you’ll be talking about for the rest of your life.

4. Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

This theme seems pretty clear, right? If doing all of them seems tedious, you could also just pick one of them and base your party around that. Each of them is exciting in their own way and a combination of all 4 would definitely be a harmonious one.

5. Disco Disco

No themed party is complete without something retro on the list! Bust out your shimmer and put on those fancy wigs because it’s time to dance the night away. Filled with disco balls and glitter, this theme will make you nostalgic and be epic at the same time.  You could also consider doing a back-to-school kinda theme as that’s pretty retro as well.

6. Splish Splash!

If you’re a water baby and of course, the bride is as well, then there’s nothing better than a pool party. It’s super fun and extremely refreshing. If you’re feeling a little nautical, a yacht part is something you could look at too!

7. High Tea With Bridezilla

While she might not be bridezilla (yet), there’s nothing better than a peaceful high tea with the bride and her closest friends. If that seems too boring, you could always switch to Long Island Iced Teas. Just saying!

8. Road Trip

Gather the girls, get into a car and just drive! Destination unknown is the key here. With the excitement of not knowing where you could end up and then making the most of the journey, this party has potential to be the most epic one ever!

9. Pub Crawl

Sticking to one place for an entire night could be a boring affair. So, round up your girls and go out on the town instead! It’s better if you don’t pre-plan this one because it’s so much more fun to just see where the night takes you.

10. A Roast Dedicated To The Bride

In case you live under a rock and don’t know what a roast is, it’s basically a full-fledged, no pulled punches, insult fest. While this might be more suited for a bride and crew who are more open-minded, it really does test how well you know each other.

11. Bucket List

Everyone has a bucket list and we all have things we want to do before we tie the knot. And so, what better way to give a bride-to-be her sendoff other than fulfilling everything on her ‘Before I get married’ bucket list? As wild as they are, the idea of this theme is to complete every one of them. You might need more than a day for this one though!
