The makers of Pad Man graciously postponed the release date of the film to make way for Padmaavat and show their support. And now that the movie is all set to release next Friday, it’s lead stars Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte and producer Twinkle Khanna are going all out to promote it. A while ago, we caught up with the cast and worked on something cool.
As you may know, Pad Man is the story of A Muruganantham – social entrepreneur from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India, who invented a low-cost sanitary pad-making machine and is credited for innovating grassroots mechanisms for generating awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India. Today, he took to Twitter to post a photo of himself holding a pad and commenced the #PadManChallenge. He nominated Sonam, Akshay, Twinkle and Radhika to do it as well.
