Since then, multiple actresses have come forth to share disturbing details about their experiences and we couldn’t help but wonder when our Bollywood actresses will do the same. It seems like we’re a good hundred years away from this thanks to the patriarchal society we live in, but with the #TimesUp campaign gaining momentum, one can only hope.
In a disturbing turn of events, veteran actor Jeetendra has been accused on sexual abuse after his cousin filed a complaint against him in Himachal Pradesh. This reportedly happened many years ago when he was 28 and she was 18. She went along on an outdoor film shoot with him that was when this allegedly happened.
According to reports, she didn’t want her parent’s to be upset by their nephew’s behaviour (as they were quite close to him), and decided to file this complaint after their demise instead.We’re yet to hear from the Jeetendra’s family.
