Prepare yourself to see a little bit of everything we love; Boho-chic styles, fun frills, top-notch layering and more. Day 5 of New York Fashion Week made sure there was a little something for every kind of fashionista. The shows kicked off with more of the minimal, monotone designs and developed into the more OTT designs of the evening. What we especially loved about day 5 was the movie collab with the upcoming superhero movie, Black Panther. Keep scrolling to see our favorite collections from the day!

1. John Elliot

John Elliot shows us the millennial way to layer. He mixes textures and prints to create looks that are simply kickass. His use of linen, jacquard, plaid, as well as corduroy and wool, makes for stunning combos.

2. Zimmermann

Silhouettes from the Victorian era were brought to life, but Zimmerman picked fabrics that were fuss-free, flowy and flouncy. From the prints, colour palette to even the set of the show, everything had an old world charm to it.

3. Bevza

Clean structures, sharp lines and monochromatic colours, Bevza didn’t leave any stone unturned in making sure their collection was striking in the most subtle ways.

4. Anna Sui

There was a whirlwind of colours, textures, silhouettes, and styles at Anna Sui’s Fall 2018 line. She went all out with glitter sunglasses, velvet dresses, sequinned gowns and metallic accents as well. You could say this line was the perfect way to define boho-chic.

5. Yajun

Yajun’s collection was all about monochrome magic with a hint of colour. OTT waded jackets and dress, extravagant sleeves were normalized with the colour tone of her line.

6. Black Panther: Welcome To Wakanda

We love when two industries come together to create one amazing visual experience like this one. The Welcome To Wakanda installation was a collaboration between the upcoming Marvel movie, Black Panther: Welcome To Wakanda.  Designs by LaQuan Smith, Chromat, Wale Oyejide of the brand Ikire Jones, Fear of God and others, including the jewellery from Douriean Fletcher were featured in this installation.
