If you’ve been single for a while, we’re sure people give you a hard time every now and then about going out there and finding your one true love. But what people don’t realise is that it’s okay to be single. In fact, most people are better off that way. Here’s why.

1. You can focus on work

Many times having a partner could distract you from your work. A lot of us work late, and ping-ponging between your job and a partner could be challenging. But if you’re single, you get time to get more work done and can focus on building a strong career.

2. You have time for family and friends

When you’re single, you don’t have the problem of trying to balance QT with your BF and your fam. You’re free to plan more family dinners and outings. This is obviously applicable to your friends too.

3. You can get back to your hobbies

You’ll get more time to give your creativity a chance to grow. If you like to paint, sing, dance, or write, this would be a good time to focus on it. Let your hobbies grow.

4. You can find your passion

A lot of times we don’t get the time to understand our own true passion. When you’re not tied down to a relationship, it’s easier to find out what you love to do and actually, do it.

5. You can travel

Travel! Go on solo trips or with your friends. Travel expands the mind and lets you evolve as a person. This is a great way to meet new people too.

6. You can learn new skills

Read, study, explore. Go out there and join classes that will help you grow. It’s always good to keep learning new things.

7. You can find yourself

It’s important to introspect and understand yourself. Spend time alone and find out who you really are.

8. You can meet new people

When you’re in a relationship, your go-to person is almost always your SO. But when you’re single, there’s an organic push to meet new people. You can go out on dates, or just make new friends and have some fun.

9. You’ll save money

Being in a relationship defs requires some extra moolah between dinners and movies and birthday/anniversary presents, being in love is expensive. But if you’re single, you could spend all that money on yourself. Shop or pamper yourself with a nice spa treatment, the options are endless.

10. You’re not answerable to anyone

With a relationship comes commitment. But if you’re single, you need to answer, well, no one. You can go out with whoever you want. No judgements.

We’ve given you enough reasons to remain single if you were feeling the pressure of being in a relationship. One should be in one, without any pressure or desperation. So, be single and enjoy the perks!
