On Sunday morning, the country woke up to the tragic news of Sridevi’s untimely demise on Saturday night. It was a dark & depressing day for the entire film industry, her fans and the nation as we lost one of the most talented actresses of our time who has left behind an unparalleled legacy. Our heart goes out to her husband, Boney Kapoor and her lovely daughters, Janhvi & Khushi. We shudder to even think about what her family and close friends must be going through during this difficult hour.
Bollywood celebrities took to Instagram to pay their tribute to the legendary actress and offer their condolences. It broke our heart to go through the thousands of posts dedicated to the late actress.
I danced to hawa Hawaii when I was in school…..I have seen every film of hers multiple times….I met her with shaking hands and feet on the sets of my fathers film GUMRAH….and felt I had arrived when she called me for the first time …..every time I met her I had a star struck moment and a fan boy vibe….I don’t think I can believe it…perhaps I don’t think I want to believe that she is no more… she is a huge reason I love the movies….I feel like Indian cinema just lost its smile….the heavens are fortunate they just inherited a gift of life…..heartbroken…..

Can’t quite understand or digest any of this news this morning.remember so much of Sridevi from my childhood & loved how she reinvented herself with English Vinglish. That she was an unmatched superstar, is an undeniable fact but I cannot stop thinking of her young daughters & family. Today & everyday say a little Prayer for them. ? #RIP
Those big expressive eyes, beautiful smile and immense talent was a big part of my childhood. Thank you for the inspiration and memories Sriji. There never was, and never will be anyone like you, the movies have lost one of their biggest and brightest stars today, but you will live on in our hearts. #RIP #hawahawai
Unbelievable that Sridevi ji isn't with us… Mujhe lag raha hai ki ye sapna hai and mai soke uthungi toh sab theek ho jaega. One of the brilliant actors of the industry. ?? My condolences to her family and everyone who loved her so much. ?? #takentoosoon #RIP #RIPSridevi #fangirlforever #hawahawaigirl
I remember watching Mom. The movie was touching, indeed, but the portrayal of the character by Sridevi, was what really moved me- to tears that didn’t stop long after the movie ended. That’s the power of an artist, and we all will always remember her for that. May god bless her soul and give strength to the family to bear with this untimely loss. Cherish your loved ones, value their presence, and don’t forget to say I love you, everyday. Life is too unpredictable. #RIPSridevi
