Misty mornings in Coorg 💚 . . A lot of people ask me how I manage to survive alone in relatively isolated places, with no one to talk to and nothing to do… . . And I wonder how a lot of people manage to survive amid the sea of humanity that our cities are (especially in India) with all the traffic and the pollution and a strange sense of isolation 😉 . . Truth is, I’m never alone in places like these👆🏼. I have old silver oak and mango trees to hug. I have the morning mist to entertain me and the plenty of birds to chat with (in Coorg, the Malabar Grey Hornbills usually wake me up 😉). I also find it so much easier to chat with strangers in such places. Like when I walk in the mornings to the River Cauvery, where locals cross the river on their metal coracle boats with a rope (that’s coming on my Insta Stories soon!), I chat with old women who work in the coffee plantations and smartly dressed young girls on their way to school – even if there isn’t much of a common language between us. . . I can’t explain it, but I feel my mind quieten when I’m here and that’s a feeling I love. Even if few others understand it 😉 . . And you, in what kind of places do you survive and thrive? . . #theshootingstar #coorg #iphone8plus #indiatravel #ig_karnataka @evolvebackresorts
