Today in tech news, the Google Lens is soon launching for all Android devices! What initially debuted on the Google Pixel and Pixel 2, is now going to be available for every Android device through Google Photos. Now, people who capture pictures can learn more about the objects in it, through this amazing app. Additionally, the app also plans to roll out an iOS version in the future.

The app also allows users to leverage Google‘s artificial intelligence (AI) efforts and computer vision to analyse photos to display relevant information. With the ability to identify different objects, landmarks and even transcribe text from the photos, it’s definitely an essential tool. Additionally, it can also save contact details from a business card! How cool is that? To experience the Google Lens, all you need to do is pick a photo from the Google Photos app and then tap the Google Lens icon from the bottom bar – located next to the delete bin. After that, the tool will begin an analysis of the photo and then provide relevant results.

Even though the accuracy rate is just 95%, we can’t think of a reason why we wouldn’t want this app! It’s always fun to learn new things about places and the possibilities seem endless. Now you can add some meaning to your #ThrowbackThursday posts!
