Priyanka Chopra‘s go-getter spirit is what we admire the most about her. Over the last couple of years, she has established herself in the west and ventured into production with Bhojpuri and Marathi films. She returned to India a few days ago and we heart the lady already has her eyes set on a new goal.
Priyanka is launching an official website for her home banner, Purple Pebble Pictures and she has included a talent platform on it that welcomes applicants who have the aptitude and passion in any area of filmmaking. It could be anything, such as acting, screenplay writing, cinematography, editing, film direction etc. Once the candidate applies, the team at Purple Pebble Pictures will get it in touch with them if they fit the bill for a certain project.
Talking about the platform, PC’s mom and co-founder of the production house, Dr Madhu Chopra said:
Anyone with the skills associated with filmmaking can apply. Enter your details, and if you fit the bill for any of our upcoming projects, we’ll get in touch with you. The idea is to provide a platform where talent can be curated, groomed and allowed to excel. There is abundant potential, but not enough opportunities.
She further said:
In her early days in Bollywood, Priyanka had no one she could turn to for advice. Through this website, she wants to encourage aspirants who can make it in the entertainment business.
That’s quite a noble and thoughtful move, isn’t it? At a time when the industry is divided on the nepotism debate, it’s wonderful to see Priyanka taking an action to change the way the industry works.
