Not just for some great bridal prep advice from the talented designer, Arpita Mehta but also because you’ll get to see her newest collection which is all things enchanting. We were lucky enough not just to get an up close and personal look at her new line but also have her answer some questions and give important tips that every bride-to-be will appreciate. Check it out below:

Q1. How would you define an Arpita Mehta bride?

A. The Arpita Mehta bride exudes confidence with grace and charm. She’s willing to experiment in a stylish and chic manner; thinking of out of the box ideas to ensure her wedding is remembered for years to come.

Q2. The collection fully embraces the modern bride, what according to you is one element a new-age bride should incorporate in her wedding ensemble?

I feel like a bride should be comfortable in what she wears and not go the maximalist route just because she is the bride. She can tone down on accessories if the outfit is elaborate or vice-versa. It’s all about being fashionable, yet classy and elegant.

Q3. How can a modern bride experiment yet it keep her look classic?

In order to maintain a classic look, one can opt for a simple silhouette and experiment with draping dupattas differently or maybe adding trails etc. This will also help the bride use her wedding outfits for future events.

Q4. Any tips and tricks for picking out your wedding trousseau?

One very important factor while picking out your wedding trousseau is wearability and versatility; an outfit that you can don on different occasions in different ways.

Some other tips to remember would be getting a lehenga with a removable can-can to make the outfit look lighter/ heavier based on the function. Another trick would be to go for high waisted lehengas; they are the best way to make your body look well in shape.

Q5. Your favorite bridal ensemble from the collection and why?

My favourite bridal ensemble would be the tiered sharara and long choli with fringes and the linear cape. It’s not just super stylish, but also a multipurpose option since the 3 garments can be worn separately for multiple occasions.
