We were blown away by Deepika Padukone‘s pictures that landed on our Insta feed last week. She truly looked like a millennial queen, ready to slay the day. The whole look definitely got everyone talking, but we were most enthralled by the custom-made peplum gown she wore that night.

The maker of this structural art piece is none other than ace designer Amit Aggarwal. His signature style came through with this design and it also perfectly aligned with Deepika’s style. In a very new-age way, he gave us an insight into the making of this gown with 3 engaging Instagram posts. The construction of the dress was inspired by the delicacy of dandelion flowers—Here’s how he described the experience:

I’ve often closed my eyes and blown the petals of a dandelion flower to make a wish. The simple pleasure of wishing is sometimes a greater joy than its fulfilment. The dress for Deepika started with a wish that she would one day wear something specially made for her by our studio.

The video he shared brought the above description to life for the audience and was mesmerising, to say the least. It also explained how much detailed mastery goes into the making of such a couture number. Check out how it’s done in the video below:

He even shared a sketch of the gown that was illustrated by him. For a true fashion lover, these Insta updates from him were a treat.
