Earlier today, news broke that Salman Khan has been convicted in the 1998 black buck poaching case by a Jodhpur court. Reports were doing the rounds that he has been sentenced to a jail term of 2 years, which makes him liable to apply for a bail in the same court. However, Mahipal Bishnoi, the Counsel of Bishnoi Community said that Salman has been sentenced to 5 years and fined Rs. 10,000.

The actor has been taken into custody and is being sent to the Jodhpur Central jail after a medical examination. His bail application has been moved and will be taken up at 10:30 am tomorrow morning, and therefore, Salman will have to spend the night in jail in Barrack no. 1.

While the members of Bishnoi community shouted slogans against Salman, his sisters Arpita Khan Sharma and Alvira Agnihotri broke down inside the court after the verdict was announced.
