The XXI Commonwealth Games also known as Gold Coast, 2018 started on 4th April and will end on 15th April. It’s held at Gold Coast, Australia. There are about 6,600 athletes and team officials from 71 nations participating in this event. We are also super excited to announce that for the first time in the history of a major multi-sport game, there will be an equal number of medal events for men and women. We are so proud of the Indian athletes who won the gold medals and our hearts at the games. Today, we’ve got you the Indian women athletes who’ve won major medals up until now.

Gold Medal Winners:

Shreyasi Singh wins in the double trap women shooting.

Heena Sidhu wins gold in 25m pistol event

Manu Bhaker won in the 10m women’s air pistol event.

Punam Yadav won in the women’s 69 kg category.

Sanjita Chanu won in the women’s 53kg category.

Mirabai Chanu won in the women’s 48 kg category.

The Indian mixed team badminton won for the first time in the games’ history.

The Indian team won its first ever Commonwealth gold medal in the women’s table tennis event.

Silver Medal Winners:

Mehuli Ghosh won in the 10m women’s air rifle event.

Heena Sidhu won in the 10m women’s air pistol.

It’s a proud moment for the country to see these women do so well at the Gold Coast 2018. Let’s cheer them and hope they win more medals by the 15th!
