The best way of recreation is watching a nice movie at home with a tub of ice cream or popcorn. Don’t you agree? Of course, everyone has their own set of favourite movies that belong to different genres. Some like horror, some romantic and some love happy movies. However, there are a few epic movies that you need to watch. These movies are so genius, that they’re now legendary. With a combination of the best actors, directors and graphics, these movies are perfection. Here is a list of movies you need to watch if you haven’t already.
1. The Godfather (1972)
Fun Fact: Whenever oranges appear in the film, they depict death or a near death involving the Corleone family.
2. Fight Club (1999)
Fun Fact: When the airport valet lends Tyler Durden and the narrator the car while addressing ‘Mr. Durden’, he is looking straight at the narrator.
3. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Fun Fact: This was Morgan Freeman‘s first time narrating a movie.
4. Pulp Fiction (1994)
Fun Fact: Marsellus Wallace and Mia Wallace never speak to one another on screen, even though they are seen together by the poolside, and are husband and wife.
5. Inception (2010)
Fun Fact: It took ten years for Christopher Nolan to write the screenplay for this movie.
6. Forrest Gump (1994)
Fun Fact: Tom Hanks was not paid for this film. Instead, he took percentage points which ultimately netted him about forty million dollars.
7. Schindler’s List (1993)
Fun Fact: Harrison Ford was the first choice for the title role, but he declined mentioning that some people would not be able to look past his Indiana Jones persona to see the importance of the film.
8. Lucy (2014)
Fun Fact: The script took nine years to make.
9. The Prestige (2006)
Fun Fact: The word ‘prestige’ originally meant a trick, from the Latin praestigium meaning ‘illusion’.
10. The Dark Knight (2008)
Fun Fact: Christian Bale got to keep the Batman mask from the movie after filming. He wanted to keep the entire uniform, but he did not have enough room for it.
