Aren’t stable relationships beautiful? We love to see strong couples who love each other and stay together through thick and thin. But there are many people nowadays who’ve started the trend of a half-relationship or also commonly known as a situationship. This is basically when you’re with each other as per your convenience and don’t give this relationship a tag. It’s a very temporary affair and it came damage you more than you think. Here are a few reasons why it’s time to get out of a situationship if you’re in one.

1. It Keeps You On A Hook

Such a relationship never gives you any closure. It always leaves you hanging. You’re not sure whether this will end or not. So you don’t know what to do during this time.

2. It Leaves You Disappointed

In your head, you think you can get this person to take you seriously. But more often than not, this will only leave you disappointed because this person you’re with is not looking for a serious relationship.

3. It Keeps You From The Right Person

All the time you spend with this person only keeps you far away from the one who you’re actually supposed to be with. You’re giving up on the potential love of your life because of something that has no future at all.

4. It Adds Another Failure To The List

A list of bad relationships is like a bad resume. You don’t want to add another one to the list because the one person who you’d actually want to be with might wonder about these situationships you were once in.

5. It’s Not Worth The Investment

You end up investing so much time and emotions in this person only to find out that it was all temporary. It’s not worth all that effort. All of this will only drain you.

6. It Takes Up An Important Phase Of Your Life

The time you wasted on this person, could have been used on better things like your career or maybe a potential lifelong partner.

7. It Changes You As A Person

You tend to change as a person. Once you end this so-called ‘relationship’, you land up getting hurt and that emotion spills over the next one. Which is not healthy.

So, if you’re in a half-relationship, it’s time to give it up. It’s pretty harmful and unhealthy for you. Nothing good will probably ever come out of it and it must be avoided before it begins. Instead, get into a real relationship with someone who is proud of you and wants to show you off. Someone who loves you so much that they want things to move ahead and get serious. Don’t settle for lesser.
