Recently, Pakistani artiste, Meesha Shafi took to Twitter and posted an official statement accusing Ali Zafar of sexual harassment. The news spread quickly and brought in support, anger, and speculation from the Twitterverse. It wasn’t long before Ali replied to it through his social media handles denying the accusations and also shared his intention of dealing with this matter through proper legal channels.
While Meesha is yet to reply to Ali’s message, another Pakistan musician named, Momina Mustehsan has voiced her strong opinion against sexual harassment and how the issue is larger than one man or one case. She goes on to tell men to acknowledge the harm they may have caused any woman, to take responsibility and make amends.
Here’s what her entire message read:
#MeToo needs a response #ImSorry from the offenders. Nothing will change until they acknowledge, take responsibility and make amends. pic.twitter.com/sphI1c1agT
