We’ve all had our fair share of Bollywood crushes and some just last longer than the others. For me, that would be none other than Abhay Deol. I never thought I could be a fangirl but then Imtiaz Ali’s Socha Na Tha happened. His adorable chemistry with Ayesha Takia won over everyone.
Abhay’s experience with theatre came through and he was applauded for his performance in the film. The actor has always chosen characters that leave a long-lasting impression on his audience, be it the neo-noir Manorama Six Feet Under which earned him the Best Actor Award at the Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival or his comedy films like, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and Happy Bhag Jayegi. His commercial films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Raanjhanaa have also earned commendable success at the box-office. Even though his fans (read: ME) don’t get to see him on the big screen so often, it’s a treat whenever they do.
