We can finally hear the wedding bells ringing loud and clear for Sonam Kapoor & Anand Ahuja. Their families made an official announcement just yesterday and we couldn’t be more excited for the lovebirds. The Kapoor house in Juhu is already decked up and Farah Khan is busy choreographing the sangeet performances of Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, and others. The entire family is in high spirits and excited to see the couple tie the knot but before that happens, here’s everything that you need to know about Sonam’s soon-to-be hubby.
Anand is the son of Sunil and Beena Ahuja and belongs to a very illustrious Delhi-based business family. He has two younger brothers called, Amit and Anant and has studied at the American Embassy School in Delhi and graduated with a degree in Economics and Business Relations from the UPenn (University Of Pennsylvania). He went on to pursue his MBA at Wharton but dropped out soon. He instead earned an internship at Deutsche Bank and worked with apparel moguls like Macy‘s and Amazon thereafter.
After working with international brands, he joined his family business and took up the position of Managing Director at Shahi Exports, perhaps one of the biggest export houses in the country. Anand is also a sneakerhead and decided to turn his love for sneakers into a revenue-generating business leading to the creation of India’s first multi-brand sneaker company, Veg Non Veg. The company’s current turnover is estimated to be over USD 450 million. WHAT?! He also owns the apparel brand, Bhane.
Besides being an astute and successful businessman, Sonam’s prince charming loves basketball and is fond of BMX bikes.
