Ekta Kapoor announcing a sequel to Kasautii Zindagii Kay was music to the ears of all the fans of the popular old daily soap. The producer had also revealed that the show is set to go on air from May 2018. The airing has been pushed to June or July and the casting is in process.
A report in DNA suggests that Shweta Tiwari‘s daughter Palak Tiwari may play the female lead Prerna‘s character in the popular show’s sequel. How cool would that be?
Prerna and Anurag (Cezanne Khan) still continue to be one of the most loved pairs of Indian television of all time. Naturally, when the show went off-air in 2008, the viewers were left teary-eyed. But now that Palak is being approached for the role, everyone’s quite excited. It would be a reboot in every sense!
Shaheer Sheikh has reportedly been finalized to play the role of Anurag. When he was asked about the role before, he had expressed his admiration for Balaji Productions and talked about how the show had changed Indian television forever. He’d also said he wouldn’t mind working with them at all if everything works out.
Looks like everything did work out!
While there is no confirmation on whether Palak will join the cast of the sequel, we seriously hope she will!
