After Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma‘s hush-hush wedding ceremony abroad and only the reception happening in India, we were a little heartbroken that it might be the same with Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja‘s wedding. But then after weeks and weeks of speculations, the families finally released an official statement about the two getting married and soon after, began the preps of possibly the biggest Bollywood wedding of the year. The two-day long mehendi ceremony set our expectations quite high for the big day with celebritries putting their stylish foot forward at the preceding functions.

The main event, the one we’d all been waiting for with bated breaths, arrived yesterday. The duo along with a few family members and close friends got married with the traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. We had high expectations from the day to give us our fill of good old desi fun and a lot of wow moments and what a day it turned out to be!
First, we got a glimpse of the groom and he looked every bit like a Punjabi dulha
And THEN Sonam took our breath away with her stunning Bridal avatar

The wedding ceremony, though intimate brought quite a lot of the Tinseltown folks and if there’s one thing they know, it’s showing up dressed for the occasion!
The father of the bride, Anil Kapoor looked his usual young and handsome self!
Sonam’s best friends, Swara Bhasker and Jacqueline Fernandez too looked gorgeous, of course!

The Kapoor sisters and the Royal family dished out quite a few fashion goals
Besides fashion goals, the Nawab and Begum of Bollywood distracted us from the wedding with how adorable Taimur looked.
Somewhere between all the chaos and madness, their love found union and we got to witness the first look of them as Mr. and Mrs. Ahuja! *Sigh <3
It wasn’t long before the siblings, Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor shared heartwarming messages for their lovely sister!

Sonam and Anand made heads turn with their looks for the evening. The sneaker loving groom even rocked a pair with his traditional attire.
