Priyanka Chopra began her television career in the West after she starred in American drama series Quantico. The show which kickstarted on September 27, 2015, features Priyanka essay the role of an FBI agent, Alex Parrish in ABC’s thriller, which also stars Josh Hopkins, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Graham Rogers and Yasmine Al Massri. While the show is currently screening its season three, it seems like this will be the finale for Priyanka’s show.

Yes, Priyanka fans, you’ve heard us right. Quantico won’t be renewed for season four. As per a report in Hollywood Reporter, the first episode of season 3 was viewed by less than 3 million viewers in total and opened at a rating of 0.5. The network has thus decided to drop the show. The thriller which kickstarted on April 26, 2018, will only have 13 episodes this season as compared to season one and two, which had 22 episodes.

Quantico as a show was difficult to make logistically as the production for it took place in Toronto, with creator David Guggenheim based in New York and writers room being present in Los Angeles. ABC thus decided to discontinue the profitable show.

While Priyanka will be bidding farewell to Quantico, the actress will be returning to Indian cinema, three years after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2015 period-drama Bajirao Mastani. Piggy Chops will next be seen opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat which is aiming for an Eid 2019 release.

So while we are excited about Priyanka returning to the bay, we are heartbroken with this news.

We will miss you, Alex!
