Meghna Gulzar‘s latest directorial venture, Raazi has been garnering a lot of praises from the audience and rightfully so! As you probably know by now, the film revolves around the story of a 20-year-old girl who is trained to be a spy. The espionage thriller has all the right elements that make it an interesting watch but what drives it further is the fact that it gives viewers an emotional experience like no other.

Last evening the cast and crew came together to celebrate the success of the film. During the press conference, Meghna was asked if female directors will be changing the scenario of the Hindi film industry with content-driven films, to which the filmmaker replied,

If male directors aren’t called ‘male directors’ then why does the term ‘female directors’ exist? The important thing is good films are being made.

We totally agree with Meghna, gender bias cannot have a place in cinema or any other industry anymore.

More power to you girl!
