Instagram is the first thing some of us browse through every morning. We like to double tap on the pictures as soon as we open our eyes and before we even brush. It now comes to us naturally. Remember the times you’d get shade for unfollowing people on Instagram after a fight? You don’t need to do that anymore. Instagram is now going to launch its new mute feature.
There are certain people you just can’t unfollow but at the same time, it’s annoying to see them post pictures all the live long day. Especially if it’s someone close, it’s very rude to unfollow and can get you into a lot of controversies.
Now, you can mute someone’s post without unfollowing them. It’ll honestly save a lot of us from unnecessary drama.
The app did come up with a feature of unfollowing someone’s stories, but now, you can soon even mute their posts.
All one has to do is go to their profile, tap the three dots and select mute. It’ll give you the option of muting their stories and posts without having to unfollow them.
Their content won’t be visible on your feed anymore, but if you visit their profile, you’ll still be able to see all their content and receive direct messages from them.
It’s a win-win for everyone, TBH. Thank you Instagram, we can’t wait for this feature!
