Morgan Freeman, 80, has been accused of sexual harassment by eight women including a production assistant, workers on movie sets as well as entertainment journalists and reporters, reports CNN. The women who spoke to CNN said that he has made inappropriate gestures and passed lewd comments.

The first accusation was made by a production assistant on the sets of his 2015 movie, Going In Style, who says that Freeman would put his hand on her lower back and rub it around. He also tried to lift her skirt up and ask her if she was wearing an underwear but she blocked his attempts in doing so.

Another woman, a senior member of the production staff of the movie Now You See Me (2012) alleged that Morgan Freeman sexually harassed her as well as her team member. According to a daily, she said,

He did comment on our bodies. We knew that if he was coming by, not to wear any top that would show our breasts and not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, which means not wear anything fitted.

CNN entertainment reporter Chloe Melas said that she was harassed by Freeman during the Going In Style press meet. She was six months pregnant at that time, where Freeman shook her hand, looked her up and down and kept suggesting the same line,

I wish I was there. You are ripe.

In fact, the CNN cameras recording the press junket caught him saying,

Boy, do I wish I was there.

Melas had reported this to the HR of her team who contacted Warner Bros. However, the HR of Warner Bros. could not confirm the statement.

Another reporter, unnamed, from the Foreign Press Association alleged that the actor passed comments on her legs and her skirt at two press junkets. The eight women who accused him said that they didn’t report this earlier because they feared they would lose their jobs.
