If you’re a bride-to-be, trust us when we say that Kareena Kapoor Khan just served up the best there is in the unconventional bride category. Her look from the freshly released Veere Di Wedding is something we’ve never seen before. So let’s break it down together, yes?
1. The Lehenga
Fit for her daytime wedding, Kareena wore an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla number was all kinds of perfect. The gold and white combo with an off-shoulder beaded blouse came together to make an outfit that was trendy yet traditional. What immediately caught our eye was the fact that Kareena did not carry a dupatta. Instead, she carried a dupatta made entirely of Gypsophila more commonly known as baby’s breath.
2. The Hair & Makeup
Celebrity hairstylist Puroshottam Hans aka Pompy Hans and ace makeup maestro Mickey Contractor worked together to create this understated look. Flowers in her hair that matched her floral dupatta, minimal eyeshadow, nude lips and a bindi did the right trick to enhance Kareena’s au naturel beauty.
3. The Jewellery
Just like the rest of her look, Kareena’s jewellery was as minimal as it gets. A simple pearl necklace that matched the beaded tassels of her off-shoulder blouse was all that she needed to make a simple statement.
All in all, Kareena was the most unconventional bride of ’em all. Through Veere Di Wedding they showcased a life that was as real and raw as it gets. And we love the fact that her outfit makes that statement too—more than anything else, Kareena portrayed a real bride who was all about being new-age and glam with a tinge of traditional.
