While the audience was sceptical about the Kapoor sibling clash at the box office, both Harshvardhan Kapoor and Sonam K Ahuja were just as confident with each other’s work. Unfortunately, despite great reviews that poured in for Bhavesh Joshi Superhero box office gurus say it had a dismal opening as compared to Veere Di Wedding. While the superhero tinted action-thriller opened to 1 crore in the first three days, the #NotAChickFlick have opened to a whopping 36 crores.
Reportedly, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero opened in 1000 screens across India, but on Monday theatre owners reassigned the morning shows to other releases.
An official of a leading multiplex spoke to Mid-day about the opening and revealed,
The morning shows of Bhavesh Joshi have been cancelled as we hardly had any audience opting for it. We have added more shows of Veere Di Wedding instead.
We’re extremely surprised at these turn of events and are heartbroken that Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is not doing as well as expected.
