The trailer of Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju released last week and boy, that was an effin’ amazing trailer. We had been waiting for it ever since the film was announced and the trailer lived up to its expectations. Ever since then every actor at every media interaction has been asked their reaction to the biopic. Similar happened with Salman Khan who was asked about the biopic based on the life of his close friend Sanjay Dutt.
Yesterday, Salman was present at the press interview for Race 3 where the actor was asked,
Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor graduated towards playing character roles later in their career, while you still playing the leading hero. Is it because no one can dethrone you?
It is not only me. It is also Akki (Akshay Kumar), Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and whenever Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) decides to come back, he’ll come back. It is all left to Sanjay Dutt. For example, I was thinking that why did someone else play the part who cannot do justice to it. The last 8-10 years in the film, Sanju only should have played his part.
When further questioned whether he had seen the trailer of Sanju, Salman replied,
Yes, I have seen the trailer. Raju Hirani is a sensible filmmaker. I am sure; he’s made a great film.
We are as excited to see Sanjay Dutt back in action again.
