Monsoon is the most romantic season of the year, don’t you agree? So, if you’ve already found your soulmate, it’s the perfect time for a romantic dinner or a quick getaway over the weekend. And if you’re single and looking for someone you could spend this season with, it’s time to bring your A-Game on your first date. While there are many things you could do or say that may impress the other person, there are many things you should refrain from too. Here are a few things you shouldn’t do on your first date.

1. Get Too Personal

Both the people on this date are probably nervous enough already and getting too personal about life might not be the route to take on the first meeting. It could come across as snoopy and isn’t the impression you’d want to create.

2. Interrupt Your Date While They Talk

This isn’t only restricted to a date, but even otherwise. It’s extremely rude to interrupt people when they’re talking and shows a considerable amount of disrespect.

3. Not Offer To Dutch

It’s only fair for both to equally dutch for dinner. So make sure to offer that.

4. Be Condescending

Being condescending is never cool. So, be humble, open-minded and comforting.

5. Be Rude To The Person Waiting On You

A person is always judged by how they treat their subordinates. Be nice to the person waiting on your table. This shows character.

6. Constantly Be On The Phone

It’s extremely rude to be glued to your phone all the time. Your date will soon get bored, leave and probably never meet you again. Instead, we suggest keeping both your phones on the side of the table, upside-down at the start of the date. And the fact that this idea was initiated by you, may give you some extra brownie points.

7. Talk And Not Listen

Most time on dates, both partners constantly talk but no one is really listening. Be the person who initiates a conversation and listens to the other person.

8. Talk About Your Exes

Nothing turns off a date more than talking about your exes. Of course, sometimes, informing them is okay. But ranting about them on and on will only make them wish you’d stop.

Other than this you’re all set. And remember, no need to be nervous. Just be yourself and you’re golden!
