Kareena Kapoor Khan in Masaba

Veere Di Wedding is Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s first film post her pregnancy break and it is not only minting big bucks at the box-office but also garnering a lot of praise for the actress. She has been receiving numerous offers ever since but the Begum of Bollywood has on multiple occasions expressed her wish to take it slow as she wants to spend more time with her baby boy, Taimur Ali Khan. During a promotional event for Veere Di Wedding, the actress had said she was already on board for a film without dishing out too many details about it.

Earlier there were reports suggesting that Kareena will be a part of the Hindi remake of Marathi movie, Apla Manus. The movie was to be produced by Ashutosh Gowariker with Bebo in the lead opposite Akshay Kumar. However, the latest report in DNA mentions a source revealing another story:

The modalities didn’t work out and Kareena is already committed to Raj Mehta’s next, with Akshay Kumar. So she also didn’t have the dates. So, now, the film’s makers are looking to cast Sonakshi Sinha for that role. Their talks with the actress are in the advanced stages and in all probability, things will be worked out and she will sign up for it.

There have also been talks about Kareena’s film with Raj Mehta and if sources are to be believed, Bebo and Akshay will play a married couple trying for a baby and the plot will revolve around the subject of surrogacy. The duo will be seen sharing screen space with two other actors in the lead.

Kareena and Akshay share a great chemistry on-screen as we’ve seen in Aitraaz, Tashan etc, it will be exciting to see them team up once again. While fans are awaiting the official announcement of this Dharma venture, we can’t help but wonder if the film has taken any inspiration from Karan Johar‘s personal life. As we all know, the producer-director became a father last year to two beautiful babies, Yash and Roohi Johar and is a proud single dad.

Guess we’ll have to wait to find out more!
