Bollywood artists have always ventured into different avenues and given their hobbies an extension. From opening restaurants to writing books, our actors always branch out and showcase a different side to their life. Similar is the case with Sonali Bendre Behl. The actress turned an author recently with her book Modern Gurukul: My Experiments with Parenting. After becoming a bestselling author, Sonali now has pursued her passion further by initiating a book club over the social media platform.
Called the Sonali Bendre Behl’s book club on Facebook, the group has scaled to new heights having roped in both acclaimed Indian and International authors. By forming a community of readers, Sonali wants to encourage people to read more often and have an interesting interchange of ideas and thoughts.
Talking about it, Sonali said,
I am extremely passionate about reviving the habit of reading paperbacks. There have been certain challenges faced by regional authors, who have great stories to tell but do not receive the platform they deserve. I hope to involve them actively in the book club’s activities and also talk about their works via the club.
