Anushka Manchanda needs no introduction but I will give you some anyway. She is an Indian singer, model, actress, former VJ and a goal giver of all kinds! And now, the talented artist is all set to venture into a cause that is close to her heart; a cause that should be close to everyone’s heart. Anushka is set to launch her alias NUKA, through which she aims to launch music that creates an awakening amongst people. Even though Anushka has a lot of experience as a singer, it is her technical skills as a programmer, an editor, and a creative producer that will drive the content that NUKA puts out.

Her music videos will be a depiction of everything that takes place in the world and just slips through our attention. To give the viewers a sense of how grave the effects of our actions can be, Anushka and her team have created a creature that is half human, half animal and it may not be real, but is very familiar.

Have a look at the gripping photos!

The stir that these stills create in your conscience, especially the last one, is what NUKA aims to bring out in a greater sense. What better way to make people listen and think than music, right?

Let me break it down for you. Make a mental note of the things you’ve done in the last 24 hours and see how many of them were only centred around you. I can bet about 90% of it will be, mine surely was and that is what Anushka is trying to change with the music she creates for NUKA.

As humans, we tend to forget that being the privileged species comes with a certain amount of responsibility too. But we’re so consumed by the chaos in our daily lives that we forget to take a step back and look at the bigger picture, to look at the other living, breathing creatures and elements we share this earth with. It seems that we only feel a real sense of loss when the subject is close to home. We forget that the feeling of pain and the emotion of fear transcends species.

In a world where species are dying out because of our carelessness and apathy, we need to pay more attention to the other beings we share our home with. Listen to your conscience and be a part of the change to protect and conserve the life of the animals and nature we’re surrounded by.

Remember, their lives are as important as ours. Also, if you would like to support the people at the Wildlife Trust of India who are doing excellent work in the field of conservation to protect our wildlife, you can donate directly to them below –http://www.wti.org.in/make-a-donation/
