There is no denying that Instagram has become an integral part of our lives. This, in turn, means that they need to keep on innovating, in order to stay ahead of the competition. Instagram, is like that gift that keeps on giving and when it comes to something new, you can bet they’ve got something planned. Well, turns out that plan is called IGTV! This new feature will allow you to create videos that range from 15 seconds to 60 minutes!
Over the last week or so, the team has been meeting with various online content creators and encouraged them to prepare videos in order for the grand launch. These videos, each of which is approximately 10 minutes long, will help break in this exciting new feature! As compared to the previous 1 minute long videos, this feature will mean we get to see a whole lot more of our favourite content creators. This new feature is actually pretty easy to use! Once you click on the tab, you can drag and drop a video or choose it from a location, and it will begin to upload. Furthermore, you can edit your thumbnails and also add in descriptions that talk about the video. It’s pretty simple and we’re sure this is something that is going to work wonders with content creators, especially those who’ve built their careers from Instagram.
This new video feature will greatly help Facebook considering it lacks a popular video destination at the moment. While we don’t think they intend on competing with streaming giants, they will, without a doubt, shake things up for platforms like YouTube, etc. We for one can’t wait to get our hands on the new update because this opens the door to endless possibilities.
