The Bollywood industry and audiences are currently in a daze called, Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actress has impressed everyone by returning with a massive box-office success, Veere Di Wedding right after her pregnancy break. She has been in the industry for 18 years now and has established herself as a star on her own terms. The actress in an interview with DNA spoke about her journey and said:

I’m a practical person who knows exactly what she should be doing. I don’t think I need to prove myself as an actress. Thankfully, now people know how I am as a performer. Today, when I read a script, I see if there’s something special for me to do. I only want to play great characters.

When asked if she wants to stick to movies or if she’d be seen doing any web series like her other half, Saif Ali Khan, the actress quipped:

I’m open to any kind of medium. But again, it has to be something really different and special for me to say yes to it. Saif has done an incredible job in Sacred Games. If I get something out of the box and extraordinary, then why not? It’s all about a good, tight script and some shows on the digital space have outstanding writing. Digital is definitely a big space today. With different OTT platforms, the world has become a smaller space.

She also shared:

I’m happy this revolution has happened. Personally, Saif and I love watching a lot of international series.

The Begum of Bollywood further added:

Producers and directors are trying different kinds of subjects today. Some will succeed, some won’t but at least, we are making a collaborative effort.

While she may be interested in exploring the digital front. When asked about making a debut on a TV show, she said:

I’ve got several offers, but it has never worked out because of some or the other issue. I’m not averse to taking up something on the small screen, but it can’t be a daily soap for sure.

Lol! Can you imagine Bebo doing a saas-bahu drama? But a web series… we’d love to see that happen soon.
