Every 90’s kid will jump with joy as soon as you say, Dia Mirza. She charmed us with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein and the film managed to become a cult. While we loved seeing Dia on-screen, the actress with time started expanding her horizons and also got into production. She last produced Bobby Jasoos starring Vidya Balan which managed to garner decent business at the ticket windows. Now Dia is back on screen and we couldn’t be happier. The actress will be seen essaying the role of Manyata Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju. While the film hits the screens today, we came across a piece of information that caught our attention.
Dia was recently present at the 19th edition of IIFA awards which was held in Bangkok. While we loved her red carpet looks, the Cash actress also participated in an auction that took place and bought a Mother India poster worth 1,45,000 which she gifted to Sanjay Dutt.
Talking about it to Hindustan Times, Dia said,
I was part of very important and beautiful auction, to restore and preserve the heritage of cinema. And during that auction, some very priceless memorabilia was being auctioned. I found this ‘Mother India’ poster and I thought it would make a very special present for Sanjay Dutt and his family. So I bid for it.
