In a time where the empowering women and standing up for equality is crucial, we get this beautiful campaign by Business Of Ideas, in collaboration with United Nations Women, India. The campaign is called #MujheHaqHai and it celebrates all the women who’ve broken the glass ceiling and paved the way for generations to come. These women are all heroes and the message of empowerment in this video is something that needs to be seen by everyone. Not only does it celebrate these phenomenal women of India, it shows us why we must start leading by example and ensure that the tides of change come.

This video definitely achieves its objective and helps spread the message that women, have the right to live a life on their own terms and also, the right to make their own choices. The video features many women achievers like Mithali Raj, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sania Mirza, Gul Panag, Tajamul Islam, Meera Khanna, Arko Mukherjee, Nishtha Satyam and many other women, who’ve represented India on a global scale and made us proud. They also shared their experiences and perspective on gender disparity with many of the students that they spoke to and met.

While speaking about the video, Nishta Satyam, Deputy Representative, UN Women Multi-Country Office For India, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka said;

There is a critical need to spread the message of women and girls’ right-to-choice and autonomy with no fear of backlash, judgement and negative social repercussions. The video captures the ambitions, dreams and the potential of half of our population. It sends out a strong message that no woman or girl is to be left behind.

About what it was like to work on this video, Mr. Aditya Bhat, Head of Jio Studios said;

It was an honour to work with a prestigious organization like UN Women. It was a pleasure to get on-board the achievers from media, entertainment and sports fraternity and we are extremely thankful to them. What makes this launch special, is the fact that everyone who has been part of this video provided their support pro-bono. Everyone came together for the cause of advancing women’s empowerment and gender equality in our country.

We love this initiative and the message this video gives us all. What are your thoughts about it? Let us know in the comments below.
