For all those who were curious to know more about Mahendra Singh Dhoni, you’re in for a treat because there might just be a part 2 of the Dhoni biopic coming your way according to Mid-Day. While we got a glimpse of the star cricketers initial struggle in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, latest reports suggest that RSVP Films are gearing up to make a sequel. The installment will have Sushant Singh Rajput reprise the role of the Indian cricket team skipper and boy are we excited! Sushant had received a positive response from audience and critics alike for his portrayal of Dhoni and the film is still the biggest hit of his career.
A source close to the actor revealed that will revolve around Dhoni’s achievements post India’s victory at the 2011 World Cup.
There is the [Dhoni-led Chennai’] thrilling win against Bangalore at the T20 [this year, that can be depicted in the film]. Apart from that, India’s steady run, up to the semi-finals, at the 2015 World Cup will find a place in the narrative.
The film will also show other milestones of the cricketers’ life like becoming a father to his adorable daughter, Ziva Dhoni.
The source also revealed that, just like with part 1, Dhoni himself will be closely involved in the scriptwriting process of the second installments too. While no director has been zeroed in for the project, it is expected to go on floors next year.
