The Queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut has rarely disappointed her fans with her performance. Be it, Tanu or Rani she has time and again proven that she is a powerhouse of talent. She is also controversy’s love child when it comes to her opinions, but we love how she speaks her mind. While she made jaws drop all over the place with her kickass and suave Cannes appearances, what we’re eagerly waiting for is the interesting set of movies that she has up her sleeves. The epic biographical film, Manikarnika and the psychological thriller, Mental Hai Kya, have already earned top spots on our must-watch list. What is also striking about the star is that she never shies away from trying something new and she’s doing it yet again with Manikarnika.

In an interview with IANS, Kangana revealed that the stunts in Manikarnika were quite challenging.

I met with a nerve-wracking accident while shooting the film. It left me with a scar on my forehead. But when I look back now, I carry this scar with pride. I am nowhere close to Jhansi Ki Rani, but her story definitely gave me courage and strength to do this physically challenging part.

But she added that she’s always been someone who takes up diverse roles and breaks most stereotypes. We couldn’t agree more, Kangana!

Currently, the actress is shooting for Mental Hai Kya with Rajkummar Rao, this will be their second outing together and we can’t wait for it!

Speaking of the psychological thriller she said,

We really don’t know about success and failure since it is not in our hands, but the script is nice and we are having a good time shooting the film. I hope the audiences like the film.

Movies aside, Kangana also opened up about how she’s never shied away from speaking her mind. And as the actress has revealed before she’s not had an easy ride in Bollywood but she says that’s not changed who she is.

I am a straightforward person. I have always said exactly what is on my mind and voiced my opinion on what I believe is right — whether it is in my personal life, or professional. My experiences, whether good or bad, have definitely helped me evolve and made me who I am today.

Turns out, Kangana’s key to success has simply been hard work.

The best feeling is being able to do something you think you wouldn’t be able to. It is this high that I enjoy and what pushes me to brave any obstacles laid out for me.

Kangana, you truly are inspirational in every way. We love how you seamlessly play your characters and are unapologetically yourself while the camera is turned off.

Shine on, you star!
