Shahid Kapoor is currently busy filming Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film which is directed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha director Shree Narayan Singh is a social drama and also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. While the film is currently being shot in the city, recent news is that Sasha shot for a three and a half minute monologue for the film without a single cut. Shahid who essays the role of a lawyer in the flick shot for a courtroom scene without any cuts leaving the makers stunned.

A source from the sets revealed,

The monologue in Batti is even longer than the one that Shahid had performed for Haider. He rehearsed his dialogues during his break. When he came on the sets, he discussed the shot with director Shree Narayan Singh and delivered a cracker of a scene. Shree, Shraddha, Yami and the entire crew present on the sets started clapping for him.

Shree Narayan Singh added that the scene will surely make viewers cry.

Even if I don’t put any background music in the scene, audiences will still cry watching it. Everybody on the set had become emotional while seeing him perform. I haven’t worked with many actors, but Shahid is brilliant. We have become good friends. We are teaming up again for a thriller set in UP.

After wrapping up the shooting for this social drama, Shahid will begin shooting for Arjun Reddy’s remake post which the actor will go on a paternity leave for a month.

We can’t wait to witness this scene.
