Earlier last week, Mithun Chakraborty‘s son Mahaakshay Chakraborty was accused by a woman of rape, cheating and wrongful termination of pregnancy. The actor was all set to tie the knot with actress Madalsa Sharma on Saturday in Ooty. The ceremony that was held at Mahaakshay’s hotel had to be cancelled as a police investigation team arrived at the premises. Reportedly, the bridal party left the place after this. The investigation on the matter is still ongoing. A Delhi court had ordered for an FIR to be registered after the woman’s complaint had come in. Following this, Mithun’s wife, Yogeeta Bali and Mahaakshay approached the Bombay High Court seeking a pre-arrest bail but the court had refused to accept their pleas.
The complainant had given her statement saying that she knew Mahaakshay for four years and when she had become pregnant, the actor gave her some medicines to abort the pregnancy. She had also said that Yogeeta Bali had threatened her to not dream of being her daughter-in-law.
