Taapsee Pannu surprised us after she stepped out from her girl-next-door image when she starred in Baby. While it was just a cameo, Taapsee managed to win our heart with the high octane action scenes. If that wasn’t enough, she later starred in Pink and proved that you cannot put her in a mold. Now, the trailer of Anubhav Sinha’s next, Mulk is out and with her acting chops, proves that Taapsee is here to stay.
The trailer which stars Rishi Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, Ashutosh Rana and Rajat Kapoor along with Taapsee begins with a bomb and then showcases a Muslim family going through trails to prove their loyalty to their country. While Rishi delivers another fine performance as the family head, Taapsee looks convincing as a lawyer fighting for the family. Ashutosh stands out as the prosecutor and the trailer ends with Rishi Kapoor saying, “Ye ghar mera bhi utna hi hai jitna aapka hai. Aur agar aap meri daadhi aur Osama Bin Laden ki daadhi mein fark nahi kar sakte to bhi mujhe haq hai meri sunnat nibhaane ka!”
