Earlier this year, we got whiff of a project, Womaniya, in which Taapsee Pannu was to play the role of a professional shooter. While the makers were still on the lookout for the second lead at the beginning of the year, Kriti Sanon‘s name had come up a good number of times. But recent reports have suggested that Kriti was shuffling in and out of the Tushar Hiranandani‘s directorial debut and if latest reports in the Mid-Day are to be believed, Bhumi Pednekar has already taken her place. The film is based on octogenarian sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi.
Kriti has her kitty full with Housefull 4, Panipat and Luka Chuppi. She was unable to shoot on the dates that the makers required. Hence, they are in talks with Bhumi.
While Bhumi has still not signed the film, reports say preps will begin soon after she does.
Talking about the prep, Taapsee and Bhumi will need to get into the physicality of 80-89-year-olds for the film.
They need to work on their physique to look like octogenarians. The film was initially expected to roll in August, but has been pushed to October, giving them sufficient time to attain the physicality.
The source further added that the full cast for the film is likely to be announced later this month.
Wow! This is sure to be one performance-driven movie and we can’t wait!
