Hello.

We’re doing something a little different today. Like you, we’re tired of the inequality, discrimination, trolling, sexism, and violence we see in the news and social media every day.

We at MissMalini are looking inwards to discover how we can drive real social change. We acknowledge that change starts at home, and that it is up to us to be the change we wish to see in the country we love.

Cross Stitch Tattoos

Aren't these just the cutest?

Started by tattoo artist, Eva Krbdk, this trend incorporates this timeless embroidery style into tattoos. Since the method involves intricate, geometric patterns, it actually calls for a lot of hard work and precision. Plus, there are usually a variety of colours used which make the process a lot longer.

Whilst the most popular requests are for flowers and fruits, there have been some peculiar designs as well. In the animal category, people have chosen pandas, dinosaurs and even Kermit the Frog! Tattoos of cross-stitched cars are also one of her offerings.

However, the most intriguing ones are that of celebrities. Eva has actually tattooed a thigh with the image of Frida Kahlo, adorned with a stunning pattern of roses.

She’s even created a replica of Marilyn Monroe in the same fashion! Here’s a quick video of the process:

What do you think about this new tattoo trend? Will your grandmother finally approve or is it just too much to handle? Let us know in the comments below.
