Hello.

We’re doing something a little different today. Like you, we’re tired of the inequality, discrimination, trolling, sexism, and violence we see in the news and social media every day.

We at MissMalini are looking inwards to discover how we can drive real social change. We acknowledge that change starts at home, and that it is up to us to be the change we wish to see in the country we love.

We pledge to do our part by creating a more inclusive environment in which all are accepted - regardless of race, age, gender, religion, caste or sexual orientation.

Lush’s New Foundations Are Perfect For Every Skin Tone

Jyotika Udeshi

Recently, there’s been a big change in the makeup industry… and it’s been a good one! After Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty’s iconic foundation in 40 inclusive shades, several brands have followed suit. From Tarte to Dior, we’ve seen formulations in the widest colour spectrum till date. The latest one to join the club? Lush!

That’s right. The brand, who is famous for their colourful bath bombs, decadent lotions and invigorating scrubs, has launched a range of solid foundations called Slap Stick. Available in 40 shades, these foundations actually take undertones into consideration. Which means that everyone will find a perfect match!

What sets these foundations apart from others, is the 100% vegan and cruelty-free formula. The products are filled with nourishing ingredients like jojoba oil, coconut oil and argan oil. Each shade promises medium, buildable coverage and a dewy finish. You can use your fingers or a brush to blend in the pigment.

The packaging is completely in line with Lush’s branding. Unlike other solid foundations, this one does not come in a stick format. Instead, the egg-shaped product is dipped in peelable wax to maintain its integrity. You also get a recyclable, cardboard container to store it in.

Unfortunately, the foundations are only available in the United Kingdom till date. However, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that they will expand their offerings to India too! In the mean time, here are a few tips to keep in mind before buying foundation.
