Janhvi Kapoor is super excited this week, after all her debut film Dhadak hits the screens tomorrow. The film which is directed by Shashank Khaitan also marks Ishaan Khatter’s Bollywood debut and is a remake of Marathi film Sairat. The buzz for this one is at its peak and we can only imagine what the star cast would be going through. Amidst all the promotional activities, the lead cast is busy doing media interactions. In one such interaction with DNA, Janhvi revealed the name of her mother late Sridevi’s film she would love to be a part of.
Janhvi said,
It has to be Sadma. It’s such a touching movie. I can watch it anytime and I think it’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen. I can play my mother’s role or even Kamalji’s (Haasan) role if there’s a gender reversal in the remake.
The 21-years-old actress further added,
A lot of people feel that I look similar to her. I have been getting these compliments all the time.
Wouldn’t it be great to see Janhvi, play one of her mother’s most iconic characters of all time? We’d love to see it happen.
