Thugs of Hindostan is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and stars some of the biggest actors of Bollywood including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif. The film revolves around Pirates of the sea and by the looks of it, it’s going to be an extravagant cinematic experience.
Apparently, the makers are willing to go the extra mile or ten to make it look authentic. If reports in Hindustan Times are to be believed, two massive ships have been built with each of them weighing up to 2 lakh kilos each.
A source revealed saying:
Since sea and ships play an integral part in the plot, Aamir as well as Aditya Chopra were sure that they would go all out to present the biggest spectacle that Hindi cinema has ever witnessed. The film’s budgets are yet to be ascertained, but the cost for the two ships easily runs into several crores
The source further added:
It took over a year to build these two ships off the coast of Malta. Director Viktor (Vijay Krishna Acharya) wanted to go the whole hog in terms of scale and create a huge visual experience. Authenticity and aesthetics have both been kept in mind given the fact that it’s a period film.Like I said, the makers are doing everything possible to make this a visual treat for the audiences. It may be a long time in the making but seems like it is going to be worth the wait.Thugs of Hindostan, produced by Yash Raj Films is all set to hit the theatres on 7th of Sept, 2018.
